Instead of buying plastic diyas, you can purchase the clay diyas from a potter or else prepare its own at home. These diyas are eco-friendly and when bought will also put a smile on the face of the potter.

  1. Avoid firecrackers

Keeping in mind the Covid-19 pandemic and the air pollution, a lot of states have banned the use of firecrackers, as not only they cause air quality damage but also causes damage to human ears and harm the animals. Avoid firecrackers or use green crackers if allowed.

  1. Decorate home with Natural flowers-

It is the tradition in our Indian culture to decorate the wall with garlands, be it rose or Ashoka leaves; so we should try to follow that culture and minimize the use of Chinese lights.

  1. Carry Jute bags-

While going to shopping into market, try to carry jute bags yourself and say No to “Polythene Bags”. Plastic bags are hazardous for environment and also it is a non-biodegradable waste.
