Welcome to Biyani Institute of Skill Development, where we empower students through our Fashion Designing and MJMC (Mass Communication) courses.
In our Fashion Designing Department, with a rich legacy of empowering women, we provide fashion education that nurtures young talent into responsible Fashion Professionals. Our vision at BISD is to create fashion professionals equipped with sound knowledge, diversified skills, and ethical practices. Responsible Fashion is our ethos, and we ensure an enriching experience for our students through audio-visual classroom teaching, activity-based learning with cutting-edge technology, and hands-on exposure to industry and crafts. We emphasize the development of diverse skills supported by digital media and promote green and responsible fashion practices at every stage. Our students engage in live industrial initiatives, collaborations, guest speaker sessions, study tours, and industry visits. As fashion designers, our students can pursue various profiles such as merchandiser, designer, illustrator, and even establish their own brands.
In our Journalism and Mass Communication Department, we prepare students for all media platforms. Our program is tailored to meet the evolving needs of the media industry, combining formal lectures, seminars, computer-based learning, and individual/group projects. We focus on nurturing socially responsible media professionals, supported by industry insights, experienced faculty, and state-of-the-art infrastructure. Our facilities include a production house, Radio Selfie, YouTube channels (Gurukpo and Biyani TV), and the Biyani Times monthly newspaper, offering platforms for creating short films, documentaries, and advertisements. Students also gain proficiency in video-editing software and communication skills.
